I was a Very Dirty Girl Last Weekend…

but I had so much fun!

Every Memorial Day weekend we usually head up to the cabin in Lakewood for a fun filled long weekend and this year was no exception!

Saturday we went on a trail ride to Waubeno and stopped at the Knothole for some Ice Cream and French Fries. The ride was so much fun and I made a point to hit every puddle I could find, no matter how small! It did rain a tiny bit which was just enough to keep the trails from being super dusty like they normally are.

Before we left waubeno a few of us took turns driving as fast as we could through the big puddle that was in the parking lot. that was the dirtiest we go that day because we hadn’t seen a lot of puddles.

Then on sunday we really go dirty! Since it rained super hard and hailed and stormed pretty good saturday night we had plenty of puddles to go through! We went south this time and we headed to Mountain for some Ice Cream at Scoopers. Along the way I found every single puddle I could and drove as fast as I could, needless to say we were a bit dirty when we got home.

The best part though was when Sam (my cousin) told us about this little trail he had found where the trucks had gone through leaving big ruts and HUGE puddles! So of course we had to go! I hadn’t gone actual mud running since I was little and my parents and uncle’s took us kids. It was a ton of fun! I got sooo dirty though! I came home and my jeans were caked in mud and so were my shoes. I was wearing a white long sleeve shirt under a green t-shirt and when I came home I was mostly brown.

This is Dad’s new 4-wheeler. My brother drove it when we went mud-running, it was pretty clean when we left the cabin and this is what it looked like when we got back.

this is pretty much what the yard looked like all weekend, all the atv’s lined up ready and waiting for us to go on rides.

I had so much fun and I think I may try and stay up all week over the 4th of July just so I can trail riding and mud running some more
